STUDENTS CORNER

Students of the college receive constant support and guidance from both the teaching and non-teaching staff of the college.

Apart from classroom instructions students are guided and motivated to participate in departmental seminars, group discussions and all kinds of extra-curricular activities. The college has a Self-Empowerment Cell. Efforts are also made to look after the mental and physical health through Yoga or other such activity.

Identity Card:

A non-transferable Identity card is issued to each student at the time of admission. The students are required to wear college uniform mandatorily.

Library facility:       

Books are issued to the students through library cards. So far as the science subjects are concerned, the deserving and needy students can get help from the departmental seminar libraries.

Financial Aids:

The students of the college receive financial aid from the govt. through scholarships.

The meritorious and economically backward students are given financial assistance annually from the students welfare fund. Moreover, the SC and ST students have been enjoying Post Metric Scholarship from the Government.

Students’ Union

The Rangia College Students’ union is a democratically elected body formed with the purpose of contributing towards all round improvement of the students in physical, mental, moral and cultural spheres. The Principal of the college is the president of the union and selected teachers supervise the activity of different portfolios. Under the auspices of the union different co-curricular activities are organized to infuse proficiency in different fields such as games and sports, debate, quiz, cultural events etc. The Students’ Union organizes sports, literacy and cultural competitions every year and the students participate in some events of Inter College tournaments organized by Gauhati University.
