The college has a well-organized
mechanism for smooth management of the college affairs.
I:The Governing Body is the executive
authority of the college. The DHE of Assam constitutes the GB
as per govt. guideline, The selection committee is the agency
to assist the GB in the matter of appointments. The Principal
(who is the Secretary of the G.B) is the chief executive who
is responsible for smooth running and management of the
affairs and also execution and implementation of various
policies and programmes.[GB Members]
2:There is an Internal Auditing
system to check expenditures under different heads.
3:The college GB has constituted a
Grievance Redressal Cell, headed by the Principal.
4: Financial assistance: There is no
self-financing agency under the college. For its finances, the
college is entirely dependent on the State govt. The UGC
grants received under different plan periods are generally
allotted against specific heads and spent strictly against
those heads.
5:The scope for donations from
different quarters is limited. Grants are occasionally
received from MLA’s/M.P’s Area Development Fund for specific
works. Tuition fee, examination fee etc. are collected from
students as per directives from the Govt./University.
6:The session fees, laboratory fees,
library fees etc. are to be paid at the time of admission. The
commerce faculty of the college is yet to be provincialized
and therefore, has to be maintained by the college with its
meager resources.
7: In case of appointment of teachers against permanent
vacancies the UGC norms and guidelines are strictly followed
and necessary appointments are made by GB with due approval of
the D.H.E.
8:The activities of the college are coordinated and monitored
through various committees. The committees are –
1.
Planning and Development Committee
2.
Academic Committee
3.
Construction Committee
4.
Admission Committee
5.
Examination Committee

the different Committees. The Principal implements the
decisions of the committees. The Principal also utilizes the
forum of the Heads of the departments to take up any
